UAE extends scrap export ban, impact seen limited
The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Economy has issued a directive – 1-43/2022 – extending the country’s ban on exports of ferrous scrap from 18 July until 30 September 2022, Kallanish notes.
The directive to suspend the export of raw materials of iron and steel scrap concerns products under HS codes 72041000, 72042100, 72042900, 72043000, 72044100, 72044900 and 72045000.
