UAE export slump deepens despite Pakistan surge
United Arab Emirates exports under HS chapter 72 – comprising iron, scrap, ferroalloys, semi-finished products, flat and long products, wire and forged bars – declined -16% on-year in the first half of 2017 to 1.22 million tonnes. The slump thus deepened from -13% after the first quarter, according to UAE Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority data monitored by Kallanish.
