UAE drives MENA eight-month steel exports to US
United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Egypt combined finished steel exports to the US leaped 43.8% on-year to 306,914 tonnes in January-August.
The growth was mainly driven by UAE and Egypt. The shipments comprised flat products, pipe, longs and stainless steel, at 120,537t, 109,059t, 72,719t and 4,597t respectively, Kallanish notes.
