UAE domestic scrap prices improve over Pakistani demand
Pakistan's growing appetite for scrap imports has boosted domestic scrap prices in the United Arab Emirates. Both in UAE and Oman, local billet tags remain the same from last week, notes Kallanish.
This week in UAE, billet producers increased their scrap purchase prices to sustain scrap inflows. The new delivered domestic scrap prices increased to AED 1,175-1,200/tonne ($320-327) for HMS 80:20 grade, AED 1,300-1,325/t for PNS and AED 1,350/t for fabrication.
