Turkey's August rebar exports fall on UAE slump
Turkish rebar exports went down -5.6% year-on-year to 584,650 tonnes in August, mainly affected by a slump in shipments to United Arab Emirates. The average value of these exports fell to $387/tonne from $406/t a year ago, Kallanish calculates from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
The decline in exports follows a 2.7% y-o-y rise in July, supported by UAE demand.
