UAE consumption hits new high, Saudi new low
United Arab Emirates apparent finished steel use (ASU) inched up higher on-year in 2018 after recording in 2017 the highest level since its all-time peak of 12 million tonnes in 2008. UAE’s ASU grew by 1% in 2018 to 8.03 million tonnes, according to newly-published worldsteel data.
