Turkish wire rod quotes up, scrap rise slows
Turkish wire rod producers have increased export offer prices due to the further rises seen in scrap prices in the new year.
Mesh quality wire rod prices, which stood at $710-730/tonne before new year, are seen to have increased to around $740/t fob levels, though higher and lower offer prices are also available from some producers. Offer prices vary depending on the lead time of the producer.
