Turkish rod exports almost halve in first half
Turkish wire rod exports, which have been decreasing significantly since the beginning of the year, fell once again in June, by -16.2% on-year to 108,621 tonnes. They were, however, up from 104,391t in May, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
Their average price was $436/tonne, unchanged from May, but down from $515/t in June 2019.
