Brazil, EU demand sees Turkish rod exports double
After seeing initial signs of recovery from June, Turkish wire rod exports surged 93.8% on-year in August to 229,190 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. This was also up from 150,579t in July.
Their average price rose to $787/tonne from $452/t in August 2020 and $764/t in July.
