Turkish rod offers stand fast despite costlier scrap
Turkish wire rod producers have kept their export quotes unchanged on-week despite the higher prices seen in scrap.
Although some mills are seen increasing offer prices for specific sizes, prices for mesh quality last week remained mostly within the previous week’s range of $500-520/tonne fob Turkey. Differing utilisation rates among producers caused the price range to widen.
