Turkish wire rod mills withdraw export offers
Turkish wire rod producers have withdrawn offers as a result of the sudden increase in scrap prices.
Many wire rod producers further decreased their prices to $400-410/tonne fob last week from $420-430/t fob a week prior, but then scrap prices jumped $15/t on Thursday.
A Turkish wire rod producer tells Kallanish: “It has been a very quiet week in terms of demand. Turkey has been unable to source scrap at desired prices and has been forced to pay more.&rdquo…
