Turkish welded pipe producers resist lower prices
Turkish welded pipe producers are seen resisting further price declines despite the low level of demand. This is mostly because they have failed to get the desired discounts for hot rolled coil feedstock prices from domestic producers.
Turkish mills’ offers for electric resistance welded (ERW) pipe made from S235 grade HRC stood mostly at $770-790/t fob Turkey theoretical weight on Thursday. However, lower offers are also available from a few producers.
