Turkey’s May pipe exports fall despite Iraq growth
Turkish welded pipe exports declined -15.7% on-year to 102,620 tonnes in May, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. Their average value decreased to $712/tonne from $802/t in May 2019.
The most-exported product was rectangular hollow sections whose shipments actually increased 18% on-year to 42,905t. Iraq was the largest destination with 14,850t, up 32.5% on-year. Belgium took 8,950t in May versus only 74t last year. The UK…
