Turkish output soars in September, nine months declines
Turkey increased crude steel output in September to 2.9 million tonnes, up by 8.4% on-year and by 4.9% on-month, according to worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish.
This marks only the second monthly increase this year, the first being in July. Throughout the remainder of the year, Turkish steel production has consistently declined, reflecting the country's economic challenges, increased imports, and weak exports amid competition with Asian suppliers abroad.
