Turkish steel exports fall in October
Exports of billet, wire rod and welded pipes increased year-on-year in October, with billets marking the highest growth rate, Kallanish learns from the Turkish Steel Producers’ Association (TCUD). Total steel exports however declined in the month.
Turkey’s billet exports surged by 580.9% to 39,000 tonnes last month, while wire rod exports increased 37.1% y-o-y to 65,000t and welded pipe exports rose 6.9% to 153,000t, TCUD says in a statement.
