Turkish shipbreaking scrap prices stabilise after increase
Turkish shipbreaking prices have flattened last week, after rising a weak earlier, as the rise in scrap import prices has slowed down, Kallanish learns from market participants.
Mills' ship scrap buying prices in the Aliaga region are in the $235-255/t range, delivered basis. Prices have flattened in the last few days, following an increase from $233-235/t quoted earlier, according to the Ship Recyclers' Association of Turkey (Gemisander).
