Turkish shipbreaking scrap prices see another sharp decrease
Following a decrease of $15/tonne in the space of one day between Monday and Tuesday this week, Turkish shipbreaking prices decreased sharply again on Thursday, Kallanish notes.
Following the sharp drop seen in imported scrap prices on Wednesday, Turkish mills’ shipbreaking prices, which stood at $255/t mid-week, have decreased to $235/t delivered by truck. Even $230/t delivered is available from one mill.
