Turkish ship scrap flat as imports fall
Turkish shipbreaking scrap prices have remained stable in the past week as import scrap prices continued decreasing, Kallanish notes.
The average shipbreaking scrap price in Turkey was flat at $215/tonne delivered in the week under review. "Ship scrap prices hovered at this level during Ramadan, but most probably will decline after the holiday week," a source at the Turkish Shipbreaking Association (Gemisander) informs.
