Turkish ship scrap prices climb, DKP stable
Shipbreaking scrap prices in the Turkish market have climbed up this week, while domestic auto-bundle (DKP) scrap prices remain stable, in line with import scrap, Kallanish notes.
Mills in the Aliaga region are currently buying ship scrap at $268/tonne, up by $3/t from last week. Four of the local buyers are asking this price and are actively buying ship scrap, a source at Gemisander informs.
