Turkish scrap under pressure, short-sea falls below $400
Turkish steel producers continued to hold their scrap purchases on Tuesday, while pressure on scrap prices increased.
Short-sea suppliers, except for Russians, who are more vulnerable to price pressure are seen to have decreased their offer prices to $400/tonne cfr Turkey. Meanwhile, most deep-sea suppliers are waiting for Turkey’s return instead of giving offers.
