Turkish scrap prices firm, rebar faces resistance
Imported scrap prices remain firm in the Turkish market after suppliers further increased offers.
European exporters increased their offer prices in Turkey on Thursday due to the dollar weakening to 1.18 per euro. They are seen to be increasing their dock prices as well. Dock prices, which stood at €210/tonne ($248) at the beginning of the week, have increased mostly to €213-215/t delivered for HMS 1&2 80:20 in the EU.
