Turkish scrap prices continue rising on fresh deals
Imported scrap prices continued to rise in Turkey on fresh EU-origin scrap bookings. While there remains a lack of US-origin scrap cargoes, Turkish mills are seen concluding bookings with European suppliers.
A few EU-origin scrap bookings have been concluded this week at $421-422/tonne cfr Turkey for HMS 80:20. The same grade from the same origin was sold at below $400/t cfr only a few days ago.
Dock prices in the Benelux also recorded a sharp increase on Monday …
