Turkish imported scrap softens, shredded premium widens
Scrap suppliers failed in their bid to increase prices following a higher-priced Canada-origin deal on Monday, but did conclude some bookings into Turkey.
A Baltic scrap supplier, who increased its HMS 1&2 80:20 offer price from $645/tonne to $655/t cfr Turkey, sold at $649/t cfr on Wednesday. This price is lower compared to the Sweden-origin boking at $658/t earlier this week.
