Turkish scrap prices recover on fresh bookings
Turkish mills resumed their demand for imported scrap in the second half of last week, causing scrap prices to recover.
Following the US-origin deal at $355/tonne cfr Turkey in the week through 20 October and Denmark-origin HMS 1&2 80:20 deal at $351/t cfr last Monday, prices for premium HMS 1&2 80:20 rose to $356.75-358/t cfr on the two US-origin bookings concluded on Thursday afternoon.
