Turkish scrap correction ends on unexpected Canadian deal
Turkey’s scrap market, which corrected at the end of last week on two bookings from the EU, has been surprised by a fresh Canada-origin deal.
A southern long steel mill has bought a Canada-origin cargo comprising 32,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 95:5 at $677/tonne, 10,000t of shredded at $692/t and 8,000t of P&S at $692/t cfr Turkey for end-April shipment.
