Turkish scrap plummets on fresh US deal
Although activity remained poor throughout the week, a western long steel mill has concluded a booking from the US on Friday. With this fresh deal at $596/tonne cfr for shredded and bonus grade, scrap prices have recorded a sharp fall in Turkey, Kallanish notes.
Another US supplier is heard to have offered HMS 1&2 90:10 at $590/t cfr, but did not see much interest from the buyers.
