Turkish scrap mostly stabilises on fresh deals
Scrap prices in Turkey are seen to have stabilised in the latest deals heard on Thursday.
In addition to the deals reported by Kallanish earlier this week, a northern Turkish mill bought 38,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 80:20 at $423/tonne cfr Turkey from the Baltic. A western mill bought UK-origin HMS 1&2 80:20 at $417/t and shredded at $442/t cfr.
There were also ongoing negotiations by at least two mills on Thursday.
