Turkish scrap market stabilises amid poor activity
Turkish mills have kept their domestic scrap buying prices unchanged since last week, while halting imported scrap purchases, Kallanish notes.
Demand for domestic scrap remains moderate as mills seek to fulfil their remaining September-shipment requirements from the domestic and short-sea markets. However, prices are unlikely to increase further due to the sufficient availability of material. Some mills have even started lowering their prices.
