Turkish scrap market sentiment turns completely bearish
Most market participants had expected Turkish scrap demand to recover last week and falling prices to come to an end. However, not only did this not materialise, but sentiment has turned completely bearish.
Although one Turkish mill returned to the market and bought three deep-sea scrap cargoes at the beginning of the week, other producers remained out of the market. This has kept up pressure on prices, contrary to earlier expectations for a price rebound.
