Turkish scrap market seeks direction
The Turkish scrap market is in search of direction in light of tension between suppliers and mills.
Although Turkish mills are trying to record a decrease in scrap prices, suppliers are seen resisting lower levels. The mills are encountering weak steel sales and large volumes of low-priced billet bookings. Suppliers do not find room for lower values amid tight supply, the expected rise in their domestic markets and the strong euro.
