Turkish scrap rapidly approaches $400 threshold
Scrap prices have continued their rise in Turkey as suppliers have further increased their price targets following recent bookings.
On Monday, a Marmara mill bought two cargoes (see Kallanish passim). The US-origin cargo was concluded at $393/tonne cfr Turkey for HMS 1&2 90:10, while the Baltic-origin cargo was concluded at $385/t for HMS 1&2 80:20 and $405/t cfr for bonus grade.
