Turkish scrap market sees limited activity
Turkish mills’ scrap purchases remained slow last week due to low-priced billet imports in the market, as well as subdued steel sales and a large number of scrap offers in the market.
Apart from the disclosure of bookings concluded in the prior week, a single booking was heard in the Turkish scrap market. A Canadian supplier sold 35,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 95:5 and P&S at $685/tonne cfr Turkey.
