Turkish scrap increases sharply on fresh deals
Turkish imported scrap prices have had a strong start to the week following fresh bookings concluded over the weekend, Kallanish notes.
A long steel mill bought Venezuela-origin HMS 1&2 95:5 at $483/tonne cfr Turkey, while another southern long steel mill paid $493/t cfr for the same grade for 18,000 tonnes from the Baltic.
