Turkish scrap imports pause on wide bid-offer range
Turkish deep-sea scrap imports have slowed to a trickle this week after one US-origin deal booked at the end of last week – but reported late – took prices down to $300/tonne. No rebar or billet export deals have been concluded, although one Turkish mill sold a combined rebar and wire rod cargo last week to Hong Kong, Kallanish notes.
