UK, Lithuania supply lifts Turkey's March scrap imports
Turkish scrap imports increased further in March, by 5.1% year-on-year to 1.79 million tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
Over 98%, or 1.77mt, of the March imports were obsolete scrap. The USA was the main supplier at 282,432t, down -15.8% on-year, followed by the UK with 270,986t, up 29.9% on-year, and the Netherlands with 266,326t, down from 291,135t a year ago. Russia supplied 153,611t, up 1.9% on-year. Belgi…
