Turkish scrap skirts $500 on fresh deals
The unstoppable rise in Turkish scrap prices has continued on more fresh deals.
A mill in southern Turkey is heard to have bought US-origin HMS 1&2 80:20 at $486/tonne cfr Turkey on Wednesday. Another flat steel mill in the same region concluded a Baltic-origin booking at $486/t cfr for HMS 1&2 80:20. An EU-origin HMS 1&2 75:25 cargo was meanwhile bought by a western mill at $480/t cfr.
