Turkish scrap falls further despite costlier freight
Imported scrap prices in Turkey have continued to decrease on fresh deals despite the significant rise seen in freight prices recently.
A Turkish mill has concluded two US- and one Sweden-origin scrap bookings. In the US bookings, HMS 1&2 80:20 was at $463-464/tonne, while shredded and bonus grades appeared at $478-479/t cfr Turkey.
