Turkish scrap plunges on fresh deals, bottom debated
Turkish imported scrap prices fell sharply on Friday after two deals done earlier were confirmed.
A booking from Poland was concluded at $410/tonne cfr Turkey for HMS 1&2 80:20 on Monday 6 June. A second deal was concluded from the EU on Thursday 9 June at average $395/t cfr. The latter cargo comprises 33,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 80:20 and 7,000t of P&S. The HMS 1&2 80:20 component corresponds to $391.5/t cfr.
