Turkish scrap demand continues, prices remain firm
Turkish mills continue to book scrap, with imported prices remaining firm.
On Monday, a Marmara mill is confirmed to have booked US-origin HMS 1&2 80:20 at $382/tonne and bonus and shredded at $402/t cfr Turkey. A southern Turkish mill is confirmed to have booked Venezuela-origin scrap at $385/t cfr, meanwhile.
