Turkish scrap continues uptick on bookings, peak debated
Imported scrap prices in Turkey continued to increase on fresh bookings heard on Friday.
A western Turkish long and flat steel mill bought a US-origin cargo comprising HMS 1&2 80:20 at $383/tonne and shredded and bonus at $403/t cfr Turkey. Another mill in the west bought Baltic-origin HMS 1&2 80:20 at $380/t cfr.
