Turkish scrap continues to rise on fresh bookings
Scrap prices in Turkey continued their rise on Friday on multiple fresh bookings.
A western Turkish mill is confirmed to have bought US-origin HMS 1&2 80:20 at $378/tonne cfr Turkey, while a southern mill bought the same grade from the EU at $373/t cfr. Although a supplier is heard to have sold two cargoes from the UK and the US at $372/t and $378/t cfr respectively for HMS 1&2 80:20, the supplier refrained from providing confirmation.
