Turkish scrap continues to fall on fresh bookings
Scrap prices in Turkey are continuing to decline amid weak demand, observes Kallanish.
Although Turkish mills were expected to resume their purchases this week, they are taking it slow. Amid a large number of offers in the market, mills are trying to gauge the situation in finished steel sales before initiating their scrap purchases, despite having outstanding scrap requirements. Supply is however outpacing demand.
