Turkish scrap continues rise, market questions further uptrend
Turkish mills are seen continuing to buy imported scrap while price rises are yet to end.
On Friday, a southern mill concluded Venezuela- origin HMS 1&2 80:20 booking at $381/tonne cfr for December shipment. Another cargo from the same origin is heard to have been booked at a price slightly below $380/t a day earlier.
These are pointing to further increases compared to the US-origin HS 1&2 85:15 booking at $378/t cfr earlier this week.
