Turkish scrap continues its irrepressible rise

Imported scrap prices in Turkey continued to rise on fresh bookings on Thursday, notes Kallanish. Following the UK-origin deal done a day earlier at $413/tonne cfr Turkey for HMS 1&2 80:20 and $438/t cfr for shredded, a southern Turkish mill bought a US-origin cargo comprising HMS 1&2 95:5 at $437/t and P&S at $448.5/t cfr for January shipment.
