Turkish scrap buying pauses, mills seek direction
Turkish deep-sea scrap imports have slowed to a trickle this week as mills assessed the post-election landscape and the surge in iron ore prices, market participants tell Kallanish. Mills have also booked sufficient cargo in recent weeks, and are waiting for next week’s Irepas meeting to strike new deals with suppliers.
