Turkish scrap bookings slow as market debates bottom
Turkish deep-sea bookings slowed on-week last week, with prices nevertheless slightly down, as many market participants believed the market was near bottom. Mills managed to sell some finished long steel after reducing prices in response to cheaper scrap, but activity was muted in the run-up to Sunday’s Istanbul mayoral election.
