Turkish scrap, billet imports fall in May

Turkish scrap imports decreased in May, by -35.5% year-on-year to 1.16 million tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. Over 98%, or 1.14mt, of the May imports were obsolete scrap. The USA was the main supplier at 326,824t, up 5.8% on-year.
