Turkish scrap, billet imports decrease in October

After recording an increase in September, Turkish scrap imports once again decreased by -33% on-year to 1.14 million tonnes in October, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. The average buying price was $277/tonne versus $328/t in October 2018. Over 99%, or 1.1mt, of the October imports were obsolete scrap.
