Turkish rod quotes rise despite slower demand
Turkish wire rod producers have further increased their export quotes, although global demand for rods was much lower compared to previous weeks. The price increases were mostly triggered by the rises seen in scrap prices and domestic demand, Kallanish notes.
Export quotes which stood at $670-690/tonne fob a week ago appeared at above $700/t fob on Friday.
