Turkish rod quotes slide amid low demand, scrap
Wire rod export offers out of Turkey have further decreased amid slow global demand and declining scrap prices.
Turkish producers’ export quotes stand mostly at $700-720/tonne fob Turkey for mesh-quality rod, down from $715-725/t last week. However, those producers who are booked for longer are trying to hold quotes firm and even offer at higher levels.
